Puffercoats have many appealing qualities, long lasting, fashionable and with their popularity, many styles to choose from. Introduced to the high fashion scene in the mid 70s by Norma Kamali, the long puffer silhouette, originally made from silk and recycled parachutes, quickly becoming a staple of outerwear. Whilst some of the styles created for catwalk have become slightly laughable, their have been many designs, especially in the last few years, notably from TNF and designers such as Junya Watanabe and Issey Miyake.
